resistence

when i was sick (fever, sore throat, dry cough) about a month ago i put myself on a course of antibiotics and completed the full 5 days of treatment with amoxicillin. i recall having still a mild cough after the treatment was done with. and now here i am, a month later, and i'm sick again. a slightly different set of symptoms (sore throat, rhinorrhea) , but still an upper respiratory infection.
it's common to see children fall sick about 6 times per year (because they're still not immunized against so many of the strains of bacteria out there) but i've had my fair share of that when i was child as a normal child, and that leaves me with the only reasonable conclusion - amox is no longer effective/my bacteria are resistant/uh oh i am doomed.

i recall one of my teachers saying something bout trying to not overuse antibiotics at a younger ago, because you'd probably train your bacteria to get used to all of them. and when you're there at the golden years of the geriatric age-group fighting against a potential debilitation caused by a strain of bacteria not so harmful to younger people, it would be quite tragic if all the recommended drugs aren't effective.

and then you'd just die from something like, a flu or  something
